Why is the site in English?

The UW Accelerator is designed to support high-growth startups with the ambition to become major players at the European and global levels. English is the working language of international markets, and from inception, startups in the accelerator are expected to operate in English to ensure they are investment-ready and globally competitive.

Does the Accelerator have a specific industry focus?

The Accelerator is industry-agnostic. However, given the connection to a top University, many startups are expected to have a strong emphasis on technology, including deep tech. The majority of participating companies will be at the pre-seed or seed stage of development.
